Design Working Group Overview

Workflows to support effective supplies management.

Areas of focus include:

  • stock control, ordering, documentation of use on a patient
  • stock usage (including charging for certain consumables)
  • implants/take home equipment and consumables tracking
  • loan equipment/Tasmanian Equipment Service
  • sterile supplies.

The scope of this DWG does not include therapeutic supplies (pharmacy).

DWG Establishment

The establishment of the first 12 Design Working Groups (DWGs) marks an important milestone in the Bluegum Health Transformation. Membership for these DWGs is close to finalisation, and initial members will meet with Design Facilitators for the first time in February 2026. This first session will support shared understanding, clarify scope, and set the foundations for collaborative design work ahead.
