What is the Design Community?
A vital part of Tasmania’s Digital Health Transformation is ensuring our digital solutions are designed with the people who use them every day.
Using human-centred design principles, we are bringing clinicians, staff, patients, carers and community members together to shape a safer, smarter and more connected digital health future for Tasmania.
We have established a transparent and inclusive Design Community where people share ideas, learn from each other and work collaboratively to create digital tools that truly support our health system.
Why we need a Design Community?
The Department of Health Tasmania is undertaking a Digital Solutions Transformation. This work is centred on co‑design and human centred design principles where the Department will be creating digital solutions with the people who use them every day, from clinicians and staff to members of the Tasmanian community.
As part of this Digital Transformation the Department has set an ambitious goal:
To deliver better healthcare for Tasmanians through smarter, more connected technology.
To achieve this, it is essential the Department creates a strong and diverse Design Community, people we can draw on to guide, inform and review digital solutions. Your insight will help ensure every decision is grounded in real experience and evidence, not assumptions.
Becoming a member of the Design Community is your opportunity to meaningfully influence the future of Tasmania’s health system. The Design Community is open to anyone who wants to help shape Tasmania’s digital healthcare solutions. Your expertise, perspectives and lived experience are essential to making this transformation successful.
